Ram Mudambi is the Frank M. Speakman Professor of Strategy at the Fox School of Business, Temple University and the Executive Director of the Temple CIBER. Previously he taught at Case Western Reserve University, the University of Reading (UK) and the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill. He is a Fellow of the Academy of International Business (AIB) and of the European International Business Academy (EIBA). His current research projects focus on the geography of innovation, with a recent emphasis on issues of migration, ethnicity and gender.
He is currently Co-Editor of the Global Strategy Journal, an Area Editor of the Journal of International Business Policy and a Consulting Editor of the Journal of International Business Studies. His work has appeared in the Journal of Political Economy, the Journal of Economic Geography, the Strategic Management Journal and the Journal of International Business Studies among many others. He serves on the editorial boards of numerous journals. His practitioner pieces have appeared in the Harvard Business Review, Sloan Management Review, and California Management Review. His media appearances include the New York Times, The Atlantic magazine, National Public Radio and numerous local radio and TV programs.
He writes fiction under the penname RM Burgess. In this capacity, he has published four fantasy novels (The Empire of the Zon) and a romance novel (Flawed Perfection).
