A dynamic, interactive and interdisciplinary approach
The Summer School faculty members are innovative and have in-depth understanding of current management practices. Leaders from creative companies and prestigious speakers from a wide array of sectors supplement the faculty. The program also builds on the experience of its participants, drawing out the experience of those in the class to illustrate learnings and facilitating the link between theory and practice.
The Summer School allows a mix of graduate students, decision-makers, university professors, consultants and professionals to immerse themselves in different ecosystems in order to analyze innovation processes in a comparative way.
The program will include lectures, seminars, roundtables, visits, keynote speakers , and challenges or team projects. These challenges are submitted by industry representatives. These challenges or problems become real team projects on which participants work to provide concrete solutions. The program also includes interactive workshops to foster collaboration, experimentation and creativity.
The Summer School also facilitates exchanges between participants and enables participants to meet renowned creators, professors and creative managers in a privileged way, during events or conferences.
Participants discover new ways of doing business in a fast paced, friendly and collaborative environment. At the end of the program, Summer School participants become part of an international community of creative and innovative leaders.
The Summer School is the flagship program of Mosaic, HEC Montréal’s Innovation & Creativity Hub. The Summer School is co-directed by Patrick Cohendet and Laurent Simon both professors at HEC Montréal. Since its launch in 2009, the Summer School has benefited from the enthusiastic support of HEC Montréal, the University of Barcelona and the Government of Quebec, as well as that of many partners and collaborators.
Launched in 2009, the Summer School has inspired the creation of other schools on management of creativity and innovation in Europe, South America and Asia, and is considered as the international reference in the field of management of creativity and innovation.
