Professor, HEC Montréal
Jean-Jacques Stréliski is Associate Professor at HEC Montréal in the Marketing Department. With a solid background in the advertising and media industry, he has left his mark for more than 40 years in the recent history of communications in Quebec. Among other things, he co-founded and was creative director of the Cossette agency in Montreal. His name is associated with many of Quebec’s most prominent advertising campaigns. At the end of the 90s and for 4 years, he was CEO and CCO of BCP in Paris (since sold to Publicis). Before being welcomed to HEC Montréal as an associate professor (2009), he was VP and Associate CEO of Publicis Montréal.
He became involved at a very early stage in the development of important training programs for the next generation of communications professionals, such as the DESS in Marketing Communication, in which he has been involved as a professor since the very beginning. In January 2019, he was appointed as the program’s pedagogical director. Finally, as a privileged contributor, he now collaborates in the research and work of the Creativity and Innovation Pole MosaiC as well as the Media Pole. Brand strategy, construction of compelling discourse and innovative stances are his preferred fields.
His literary and journalistic training has also made him a popular columnist, publishing in Infopresse magazine, Le Devoir, Revue Gestion. He has also appeared on many of Canada’s TV and radio shows and still does when the news call for it.
