Managing Partner, Triptyk Capital
A graduate of HEC Montréal in finance, I was quickly recognized for my collaborative approach, creative vision and search for innovative solutions. From day one of my professional career, I have acquired skills that have allowed me to position myself as a proven business marketing strategist who adapts to the changes in the industries and their different clienteles. I have worked at BMG and Sony Music during the Napster era and led an experiential marketing agency for international clients at Mosaic (Montreal & Toronto), before taking on the challenge of democratizing opera as Director of Sales and Marketing at the Opéra de Montréal. The 10 sold-out performances (30,000 spectators) of the world premiere of Another Brick in The Wall – The Opera by Roger Waters was a highlight in my career.
Subsequently, I also joined major entertainment companies in executive roles such as Groupe TVA and Groupe Juste pour rire, as well as sitting on the boards of Mutek, Conseil québécois de la musique, Pop Montréal and Synapse C.
I had the privilege of serving as Executive Director of Zú, the launch of a non-profit organization initiated by Guy Laliberté whose mission is to bring together, assist and promote creative and technological entrepreneurs in the entertainment industry to develop world-class innovative projects. My role has given me the opportunity to support entrepreneurs in their creative process and business growth by facilitating access to the resources necessary for their development and their desire to transform the entertainment industry with disruptive technologies and innovative business models.
Throughout my career, I have developed lasting relationships with key players in the entertainment industry – from Los Angeles to New York to Paris to Canada. The term “connector” is one I don’t like, but I maintain my network by adding value, a philosophy of insight and a relational (rather than transactional) approach.
I am now a partner at Triptyq Capital, a $40 million venture capital firm that invests in companies developing technologies to transform the media and entertainment industry.
