Ekaterina Turkina holds a PhD in Public and International Affairs from the University of Pittsburgh, USA. She is associate professor at HEC Montreal and a holder of the Professorship in International Business Networks. Ekaterina is also an associate editor of Journal of Small Business and Entrepreneurship, as well as a member of International Advisory Board of International Journal of Productivity Management and Assessment Technologies. Her main research areas are socio-cultural and politico-economic contexts in international business, innovation and inter-firm networks, international entrepreneurship, and industrial clustering. She has published in World Economy Journal, Journal of Business Venturing, Journal of Common Market Studies, Journal of Business Research, Journal of European Integration, Cross Cultural Management: an International Journal, Physica A: Statistical Mechanics and its Applications, and the International Journal of Computer Science and Networks. She has written three books and was a recipient of several awards, including the Highly Commended Paper Award from the Journal of Enterprising Communities, Best Paper on EU Governance from the European Community Studies Association, U.S. State Department Young Leaders Fellowship and other. She has recently been nominated for the Alan Rugman Most Promising Scholar Award that is given to talented scientists under the age of forty. Ekaterina is also an artist who specializes in oil, acrylic painting, and mixed media.
