Carolyn provides leadership for projects on the themes of social transformation and sustainable innovation for the Interdisciplinary Research Centre on Operationalizing Sustainable Development (CIRODD), a strategic alliance funded by the Quebec Research Fund (FRQ). During her previous role at Jalon Mtl: the intelligent transport institute, a not-for-profit launched by the City of Montreal, she was involved in projects geared to enhancing innovation in smart and sustainable urban mobility. A former curator at Toronto’s Royal Ontario Museum, her research focuses on innovation pathways to sustainable development and transformation. Before her move to Montreal, Carolyn led large scale regional innovation initiatives at the Purdue Center for Regional Development in Indiana. She has a PhD in planning from the University of Toronto.
