Joining Cirque du Soleil in 1998, Caitlan has taught, coached and mentored artists and artistic coaches for new creations and existing shows for 20 years. She has developed and implemented artistic training programs for all incoming artists, be they athletes, acrobats, actors, clowns, singers or dancers. From 2007- 2012 Caitlan was choreographer for CDS Events and acrobatic choreographer for two Cirque shows, Believe and Amaluna. In 2016 she became senior dance coach for LOVE and MJOne. In 2017 Caitlan was a participant at the Mosaic HEC summer school and since this fortuitous meeting has offered Creative Movement workshops at various Mosaic events for HEC Montreal, Lille, Vilnius and Tokyo Universities. The quest for developing creativity remains one of Caitlan’s life long passions.
Caitlan Maggs, artistic expert at Cirque du Soleil’s Coaching and Performance VP completed her formal training at the Royal Ballet School, London and went on to join the National Ballet of Canada where she danced with legendary dancers Nureyev and Baryshnikov. Following this, Caitlan was principal dancer and toured internationally with Desrosiers Dance Theatre and then went on to teach and choreograph at l’Ecole Supérieure de Ballet du Québec for ten years.
