Mr. Billou, an award-winning international educator and consultant, is an expert in design thinking and innovation in a variety of contexts, including large organizations and start-ups, in the private and social sectors. He has taught at some of the world’s leading business schools: London Business School, HEC Montreal, HEC Paris, Desautels Faculty of Management (McGill University), European School of Management and Technology (ESMT), New York University (NYU), Ivey Business School. One of the founding faculty members of the School of Design Thinking at the Hasso Plattner Institute, he has contributed to making this institution one of the most important design schools in the world (commonly known as D.schools).

He has advised several executives and managers to facilitate innovation in companies such as IBM, Deutsche Telekom, Metro, Bosch Siemens, SAP, Desjardins Insurance, Solidarity Funds FTQ, Hydro-Quebec and VIA Rail. Published in several books and journals, his research has also been presented at many major international conferences.

He is the co-founder of Humanos, a non-profit organization that aims to bring the spirit of enterprise to the heart of humanity, helping transform the lives of people living in poor communities through creative thinking. He holds a PhD in Innovation and Entrepreneurship from London Business School, an MBA from Ivey Business School and a certificate in Participant Centred Learning from Harvard Business School.
